A silky-smooth, invigorating coffee cocktail with vodka and coffee liqueur. The use of nitrogen (N2/N2O) in the dispensing process gives it a sensational, long-lasting foam.

The mixture

This is how the tap works

  1. 1

    Brew and cool espresso

Prepare 600 ml of fresh, strong espresso (approx. 20 shots). It is extremely important that the espresso cools completely in the refrigerator before further processing.
WINKY Hack: Use freshly roasted beans with a high Robusta content for a particularly dark, chocolatey flavor.
  2. 2

Mix the ingredients in the keg

Pour the vodka, coffee liqueur, cooled espresso, and still water into the 2-liter Cocktail Keg. If you prefer it sweeter, add the sugar syrup now and stir everything with a spoon.
WINKY Hack: The added water is essential because the drink is not shaken with ice. It ensures the perfect dilution.
  3. 3

    Connecting cooling and gas

Seal the keg and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours until the drink is ice cold. Then connect the N2 or N2O gas cartridge and pressurize the keg.
WINKY Hack: Before tapping, vigorously swirl the keg (under pressure) once to ensure the gas mixes optimally with the coffee.
  4. 4

    Cones & Garnish

Prepare chilled coupe or martini glasses (without ice!). Quickly pour the cocktail and observe the fascinating cascade effect in the glass. As soon as the dense foam has settled, carefully place three coffee beans on top of the foam.
WINKY Hack: The three beans traditionally represent health, wealth and happiness.

About this drink

The Espresso Martini is the undisputed king of after-dinner drinks – a modern classic that combines elegant sweetness with a proper caffeine kick. For this recipe, we use high-quality vodka, strong coffee liqueur, and of course, fresh, ice-cold espresso.

The secret to a perfect Espresso Martini lies in its dense, creamy crema. Normally, this is achieved through extremely vigorous shaking. In our Cocktail Keg, however, we use nitrogen (N2 or N2O). The gas dissolves in the liquid, creating an incredible cascade effect (similar to a stout beer) when dispensed, resulting in an exceptionally fine-pored, silky crema that would make any barista envious. A true highlight for coffee lovers!
