1
Squeeze and filter the limes
Squeeze the limes and be sure to strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve or coffee filter. No pieces of pulp should remain in the juice, otherwise the tap valve in the keg will become blocked later.WINKY Hack: Save one or two untreated limes to cut fresh wedges for decoration later. -
2
Combining aromas in the keg
Pour the vodka, strained lime juice, and ginger syrup directly into the two-liter Cocktail Keg. Stir well with a long bar spoon to ensure the syrup is completely combined with the alcohol and juice.WINKY Hack: If you like it particularly spicy, you can choose a ginger syrup with chili extract or add a few drops of cocktail bitters (e.g. Angostura). -
3
Fill with water and cool down.
Now pour exactly 900 ml of still water into the base, so that it reaches the two-liter mark precisely. Seal the keg tightly and refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, until the liquid is ice-cold.WINKY Hack: The still water is the game changer here: it replaces the meltwater from shaking and binds the carbon dioxide perfectly through the strong cooling. -
4
Carbonate and serve properly
Once the drink is ice-cold, connect the CO2 cartridge and pressurize the keg. Fill copper mugs (or highball glasses) to the brim with ice cubes. Pour the refreshing Moscow Mule fresh and garnish with a generous sprig of mint and a lime wedge.WINKY Hack: Before decorating, briefly tap the mint leaves on the back of your hand. This breaks open the delicate cells, allowing the wonderful mint aroma to immediately fill your nose when you drink.
